Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

I love the idea of eating oatmeal.  I get stuck on the cereal train and can’t get off for months at a time.  The problem is a packet of oatmeal keeps me full until about the time I sit down to start class and I’m already starving.  Now I know I could just eat two packets, but I just can’t bring myself to do that when I can whip up my own.

1 small apple, diced
2 table spoons apple cider
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of brown sugar
1/2 cup old fashioned oats

1.  Boil water.

2. In small pan add apple cider, diced apple, cinnamon and brown sugar to taste.  Saute until just boiling.

3.  In small bowl, put dry oatmeal then add apple mixture.  Mix these together and add boiled water to desired consistancy.  Note: If you often make oatmeal, this amount of water will be less than normal because of the apple cider in the apple mixture.

4.  Sprinkle cinnamon on top and voila!! Healthy, fresh, easy oatmeal.

Approximate time: 10 minutes
